– Thorndike’s LAW OF EFFECT states that actions followed by rewarding
consequences tend to be repeated.
FEEDBACK AS INFORMATION FOR ERROR CORRECTION
– Most important type of feedback for motor skill learning
– Provides information about patterns of movement, specifically errors in them
– Feedback helps to guide learners toward correct movement goal
– Coaches should teach and reinforce correct fundamental movement patterns
